(Havana, Cuba. June 6th to 9th ,
2000)
The Department of Physics of the "José
Antonio Echeverría" Higher Polytechnic Institute (ISPJAE),
Havana, Cuba, is pleased to announce the "IV International Workshop
on Physics Teaching in Engineering" (EFING'2000) and the "1st.
Iberoamerican Workshop of Applied Physics in Engineering" that will
take place simultaneously to the EFING'2000. The workshop is aimed at
fostering a fruitful, long-lasting exchange of ideas and knowledge on
current problems of crucial importance for the physics teaching and
applied physics in engineering.
General objectives
- To analyze the physics role in the formation of
the engineers and its relationship with other basic sciences (especially
mathematics) and the engineering sciences.
- To argue and disclose the most advanced
scientist works on physics teaching and applied physics investigation in
engineering.
- To propitiate agreements of combined projects on
both investigation and development, as well as signatures of intention
letters and agreements between represented Institutions in the event.
- To promote the exchange of experiences between
physics and mathematics professors in engineering.
