The Central University of Las Villas (UCLV), Cuba
and the University Otto-von-Guericke of Magdeburg, Germany with the
auspice of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Cuba, are
calling to the International Conference on Mechanical Engineering, COMEC
2000, which will take place on November 8th to 10th, 2000 in Santa Clara,
Cuba.
The Conference COMEC 2000 will become a fruitful
exchange among specialists of the most diverse parts in the world in
topics of great interest and transcendency, approached with the highest
scientific-academic rigor and with a future vision that allows to face the
challenges that in the fields of the design, the manufacturing processes
and in the energy and environmental management will impose the XXI
century.

About papers presentation
- The papers will be exposed in working sessions by
commissions or in posters form.
- The documentation to be sent to the organizing
committee should fulfill with the existing regulations:
Summary
- It should not exceed 250 words and will be writen
in Spanish and English, including also the title, author(s) name and
address, working instituton(s), Country, fax number and and E-Mail
adresses.
Full paper
- It should be sent in sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 inches,
with letter font Times New Roman of 12 points and a maximum of 8 pges
with single spacing. (Including graphics, charts, bibliography etc.) and
in high density 3.5 inches floppy diskettes, in format Word (V.6,0),
Word Perfect (V.5.1) or higher.

- The Conference Program includes other activities
such as: Magistral lectures, Round Tables, Courses of Graduate degree,
Exhibitions and Visits.
Inscription fees
- The inscription fee will be paid in the UCLV in
the moment of the accreditation, covering the participation in the
conference and the materials published to it.
- Paper presenters: 120.00 USD
- Students: 50.00 USD
Conference deadlines
- 1. Sending of abstracts: up to July 30th, 2000.
- 2. Sending of full papers: up to September 15th,
2000.
- 3. Approbal of the Organizing Committee: before
September 30th, 2000.
